Images were obtained before (A), and 1 min (B), 5 min
(C), and 30 min (D) after injection of gadopentetate
dimeglumine. Earlier and stronger rim enhancement of bacterial abscess and VX2
carcinoma is seen after injection of gadopentetate dimeglumine compared with
Gadomer-17 (Schering, Berlin, Germany). Image of VX2 carcinoma obtained 30 min
after the injection (D) shows washout of contrast agent in periphery
and fill-in of contrast agent in center.
