Longitudinal sonogram shows fluid-filled small-bowel loop with moderate wall
thickening (long arrows) and small amount of free fluid in hernia
(short arrows). Patient suffered from vomiting and diffuse abdominal
pain. Incarcerated hernia was clinically not suspected. Surgery confirmed
sonographic findings.
