Lateral radiograph of cervical spine obtained 2 years later shows severe progression of disease with progressive narrowing of intervertebral spaces from C2 through C7 (arrowheads). In patients with destructive spondyloarthropathy who are undergoing hemodialysis, radiographic progression of abnormalities is often rapid—that is, over a period of months.
