Differences of mean CT density values between calcified and remaining three categories of plaques were significant (p = 0.000, 0.000, and 0.000, respectively; p < 0.017). Difference between fibrous and fibrous-soft was significant (p = 0.004 [by statistical software], p < 0.017 [by Kruskal-Wallis test]). Differences between soft and fibrous, and between soft and fibrous-soft, were not significant (p = 0.030 and 0.317, respectively), with p > 0.017 (corrected value of Kruskal-Wallis test).
