One hundred consecutive roentgenologically diagnosed and 50 consecutive surgically diagnosed cases of hypertrophic pyloric muscle in adults were studied. The roentgenograms, available specimens, and clinical histories were reviewed. An evaluation of the commonly accepted roentgenologic signs of this condition was attempted.
