A case is presented of a primary carcinoid tumor of the stomach in which the roentgenographic appearance and clinical course were unusual. This infiltrating gastric lesion, progressing rapidly to death, is contrasted with the reported cases in which local polypoid lesions were observed which, when surgically treatable, offered a much more favorable prognosis.
