Endolymphatic P32 and I131 have been compared in rabbits containing VX2 lymphatic metastases. The P32 treated group survived significantly longer than the I131 group. The effects of P32 and I131 on the iliac lymph nodes were compared. Either isotope gave results vastly superior to no irradiation. P32 was marginally better than I131 but the difference was not statistically significant. The greater
particle range of P32 compared to I131 seems to be advantageous.
