ANEURYSMS OF THE SUPERFICIAL TEMPORAL ARTERY

CHARLES B. WILSON M.D.1

1 From the Department of Surgery, Division of Neurosurgery, University of Kentucky, School of Medicine, Lexington, Kentucky

Post-traumatic aneurysms of the superficial temporal artery are encountered infrequntly and the literature contains only one example diagnosed by carotid angiography.

An additional case is reported in which the aneurysm was demonstrated angiographically and treated by excision.

The clinical features of this condition are briefly discussed.
