EPIPHYSEAL DYSOSTOSIS WITHOUT DWARFISM

CHARLES RENNELL M.D.1 and HOWARD L. STEINBACH M.D.

1 25 N. 14th Street, San Jose, California.

Three brothers are described with a syndrome that has been called "epiphyseal dysostosis without dwarfism." Their deformities are similar to those of diastrophic dwarfs. The predominant skeletal changes in these 3 patients consist of multiple deformities of the hands. A chart that includes information on 4 generations of this family suggests multiple variants of this syndrome.
