EPIDURAL SUBTEMPORAL HEMATOMA: ANGIOGRAPHIC CHANGES INVOLVING THE MENINGEAL ARTERY

P. J. SONES M.D.1, JAMES HOFFMAN M.D.2, and JAMES R. BRYLSKI M.D.3

A modified anteroposterior angiographic position is described which facilitates evaluation of the middle fossa.

In this projection, the course of the middle meningeal artery can be better delineated and its relationship to the wall of the middle fossa defined.

The usefulness of this view in differentiating extra-axial lesions is indicated by appropriate cases.
