CORRELATION OF ANGIOGRAPHY AND ISOTOPE SCANNING IN ABDOMINAL DISEASES OF CHILDREN

R. A. NEBESAR M.D., M. TEFFT M.D., and R. M. FILLER M.D.

The combination of isotope scanning and angiography is extremely valuable in the preoperative and postoperative evaluation of abdominal diseases, particularly hepatic disease. This technique can accurately detect, show the extent of and in many instances predict the nature of various hepatic abnormalities.

Armed with this information, the pediatrician or surgeon is able to best decide whether surgery, irradiation or medical management are indicated.
