PRESACRAL MASSES IN CHILDHOOD

JOHN L. WERNER M.D. and HOOSHANG TAYBI M.D., M.S. (PED.)

Five patients with presacral masses are reported.

Rectal perforation with pelvic cellulitis, anterior meningocele in a patient with imperforate anus and in another patient with chronic constipation, sacrococcygeal teratoma and neuroblastoma are the conditions included in this paper.

The importance of the recognition of the anterior meningocele in patients with anorectal anomalies is stressed.
