Increase in the thickness of the calvaria, mainly in the diploic space, was noticed in epileptic patients receiving dilantin for prolonged periods. The younger the patient, the more prominent were the changes. Three white teenage patients are reported with skull roentgenograms before and 3 or more years after the institution of dilantin medication. An additional 4 patients on prolonged dilantin therapy showed a thick calvarium.
