UNEVENTFUL PERFORATION OF A CORONARY ARTERY DURING SELECTIVE ARTERIOGRAPHY

A CASE REPORT

2 Associate Professor of Internal Medicine.

A case is reported in which perforation of a branch of the left coronary artery occurred during selective coronary arteriography. The mishap was remarkably uneventful and not attended by any complications. Surgical confirmation of the perforation of the coronary artery was obtained.

The probable causes and their relation to the patient’s condition and the physical properties of the catheters are discussed.
