ROENTGENOGRAPHIC MEASUREMENT OF ARTERIAL NARROWING

F. A. BERNE M.D., W. P. LAWRENCE M.D., and W. H. CARLTON PH.D.

Arteriograms demonstrating annular narrowing should be interpreted in terms of area rather than a ratio of diameters. In the case of a plaque an anteroposterior, lateral, and one oblique projection should be obtained in order to make a reasonably accurate estimate of the per cent occlusion using the ratio of diameters method.
