GASTRIC TUBERCULOSIS

REPORT OF A CASE WITH DISCUSSION OF ANGIOGRAPHIC FINDINGS

RICHARD S. PINTO M.D., JOSEPH ZAUSNER M.D., and ELLIOTT R. BERANBAUM M.D.

A case of gastric ulcerative tuberculosis is reported with angiographic findings of hypervascularity and thickening of the gastric wall and omentum.

Regression of the tuberculous lesions after administration of antituberculosis drugs is demonstrated.

Since the treatment of gastric tuberculosis is medical, the radiologist must be aware of this entity to advise appropriate treatment and avoid undue surgery.
