The normal anatomy of the adult symphysis pubis was studied and a classification of variations and abnormalities is presented which forms the bases of differential diagnosis.
Illustrations of various types of abnormalities are shown.
It is hoped that this review will result in greater attention to and appreciation of abnormalities of this area.
