ESOPHAGEAL MONILIASIS

The occurrence of monilial esophagitis will probably continue to increase with the increased use of chemotherapy and steroids, particularly in patients with impaired defense mechanisms.

The clinical and roentgenographic features are discussed and illustrated by 2 case reports.

The fluoroscopic and roentgenographic examination of the esophagus is the easiest, safest and most accurate method for establishment of the diagnosis in this disoder.
