Angiographic studies were undertaken to evaluate the renal transplant status in the postoperative period.
Of 35 transplant patients 8 cases are described in detail.
Varied angiographic appearances of complications following renal homotransplantation are: acute and chronic rejection; arterial and venous occlusions; arteriovenous fistula; intrarenal hematoma with cortical tears; acute tubular necrosis; and acute suppurative pyelonephritis.
The angiographic findings are correlated with the clinical and pathologic data. The limitations in the precise diagnosis are briefly stated.
