We routinely use small focus roentgen magnified 70 mm. films for study of the extracranial arteries.
Considerable savings in time and the amount of contrast medium are possible with this method. The patient can be selectively positioned for optimal visualization of the bifurcations.
The quality of the resultant films is fully adequate for evaluation of any possible stenosis or occlusion.
