ANGIOGRAPHY OF VASCULAR INTRASPINAL TUMORS

The angiographic findings in 3 cases of vascular intraspinal tumors are presented: an intradural extramedullary neurinoma; and 2 intramedullary hemangioblastomas.

Angiographic findings which proved helpful in the analysis of these vascular neoplasms included: (1) nature and extent of tumor vessels and/or blush; (2) displacement of the anterior spinal artery in the lateral view; (3) dural or spinal cord arterial supply to the tumor; and (4) drainage of the lesion via the spinal or dural veins.
