PNEUMATOSIS INTESTINALIS IN COLLAGEN DISORDERS

CHARLES F. MUELLER M.D., RICHARD MOREHEAD M.D., A. J. ALTER M.D., and WILLIAM MICHENER M.D.

Pneumatosis intestinalis has occurred with scleroderma, dermatomyositis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.

The etiology remains obscure.

The poor prognosis of this association of diagnoses may have been overstated.

Two case reports and a discussion of the literature relating pneumatosis and scleroderma are presented.
