There is no question that the true incidence of secondary malignant involvement of the breasts is higher than the figures suggest.
The paucity of reported cases is undoubtedly due to the relative unimportance attached to the breast involvement in advanced malignant disease.

The few previously reported cases have apparently not been subjected to mammographic examination.
