THE INFERIOR VERMIAN VEINS AS A USEFUL ADJUNCT IN THE DIFFERENTIATION OF BRAIN STEM TUMORS FROM MIDLINE CEREBELLAR MASSES

HARVEY I. WILNER M.D., EVELYN NAVARRO M.D., A. BRADLEY EISENBREY M.D., and VINCENT GRACIAS M.D.

The inferior vermian vein and its major tributaries have definite value in the differentiation of brain stem tumors from midline cerebellar masses.

Only slight changes were seen in the brain stem tumors, whereas rather gross findings were shown in the medulloblastomas, arachnoidal cysts and cerebellar gliomas.
