ANDERS LUNDERQUIST M.D.1 and ERICH VOEGELI M.D.2

1 Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University Hospital, Lund, Sweden.
2 Röntgenabteilung, Inselspital, Bern, Schweiz.

Fourteen patients are reported in whom angiography of the celiac artery was performed during a condition of stress secondary to hemorrhage on trauma. In 12 of these patients there was a marked accumulation of the contrast medium in the adrenals and in 3 of them adrenal hemorrhage was present.

The probable mechanism in this reaction is discussed.
