Thirty-seven pediatric patients with abdominal complaints have been examined with B-scan ultrasound.
A broad spectrum of pathologic entities has been encountered.
The sonogram has been contributory in all cases. There have been no false positive examinations.
Ultrasound is becoming well established as a noninvasive, nonionizing and nontraumatic diagnostic technique.
As judged by the experience presented in this paper its potential in the pediatric patient is great.
