ARTHROGRAPHY IN RUPTURE OF THE SUPRAPATELLAR BURSA WITH PSEUDOCYST FORMATION

ADAH M. DUNCAN M.D.

Three cases of rupture of the suprapatellar bursa are described.

In one case a pseudocyst formed and presented as a mass in the thigh. The other two cases represent rupture occurring during arthrography.

In the interpretation of knee arthrograms, special attention to the superior portion of the suprapatellar bursa, with additional roentgenograms of the thigh, if necessary, will no doubt reveal more cases of suprapatellar bursal rupture.
