Four cases of pyogenic liver abscess were diagnosed and localized by angiography and liver scan.

Closed drainage by percutaneous aspiration under fluoroscopic guidance was employed for treatment in 2 cases.

The use of closed aspiration along with appropriate antibiotics can decrease morbidity and mortality as well as adequately manage the patient with pyogenic liver abscess.
