The problems of investigating lesions in the internal auditory canal and cerebellopontine angle cistern are outlined.
A method to investigate these lesions with negative or positive contrast material and using tomography is described.
Criteria for the choice of method are discussed, and cases showing the findings in lesions of varying size are illustrated.
