VARICOSE ANEURYSM OF THE THORACIC AORTA WITH AORTO-AZYGOS SYSTEM FISTULA

A traumatic false aneurysm of the thoracic aorta with fistulous communication to the azygos venous system developed within 1 year of a gunshot wound.

Immediately after injury, angiography had demonstrated a mediastinal hematoma without evidence of venous communication.
