FAMILIAL COLON CARCINOMA IN NAIL-PATELLA SYNDROME

LOUIS A. GILULA and OWEN S. KANTOR

A family with nail-patella syndrome having an increased incidence of colon carcinoma has been reported. The possibility exists that colon carcinoma might be a previously undetected component and a part of the linkage of nail-patella syndrome.

The main features of osteo-onychodysplasia are described. Nonspecific arthritis and absent ulnar styloid processes are added to the list of findings associated with this syndrome.
