Primary ulcerative carcinoma of the esophagus

RE Gloyna, J Zornoza, and HM Goldstein

Six patients with primary ulcerative carcinoma of the esophagus are described. The radiologic appearance is analogous to the Carman-Kirklin complex seen with gastric malignancies. The clinical course of this uncommon type of esophageal carcinoma is the same as the more common constricting and polypoid varieties.
