Ultrasound of femoral artery aneurysms
GA Gooding
and
DJ Effeney
Ultrasonograhy is an accurate, effective technique for defining femoral artery aneurysms whether they are atherosclerotic, traumatic, or anastomotic. This noninvasive method of femoral artery assessment allows definition of size and configuration of the lumen and walls of the vessel, detection of intra- and extraluminal thrombus, and characterization of the surrounding tissues.
