We have described the Air-Shields Actuator and how it has been applied toward obtaining good inspiratory roentgenograms of the chest and lateral neck in newborns and infants. It is our feeling that this is a very reliable and timesaving device in pediatric radiologic practice. The ease of use and consistent results have readily made this a device which is quickly accepted by technicians and residents.
