FRED J. HODGES M.D.1, WALTER M. WHITEHOUSE M.D.1, ARTHUR C. KITTLESON M.D.1, and LAWRENCE R. GRIEWSKI M.S.E.E.1

1 From the Department of Radiology, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan

1. Our impressions of orthicor and vidicon television systems coupled with tape recording are compared with cinefluorographic methods. We have chosed orthicon television with a transistorized portable tape recorder as the best system for general departmental use.

2. Normal bronchial dynamics as demonstrated with the above system are presented in apnea and quiet respiration, deep respiration and coughing. Preliminary observation of dynamic abnormalities is mentioned.
