have attempted to explain and emphasize the following 4 characteristic roentgenologic features: (1) circumscribed metaphyseal foci of osteomyelitis; (2) widening of the epiphyseal plates; (3) multiple foci of aseptic necrosis involving the weight-bearing joints; and (4) neuropathic joints.
