Compared with Gadomer-17 (Schering, Berlin, Germany), early peak enhancement in both bacterial abscess and VX2 carcinoma and rapid decay in VX2 carcinoma are seen after injection. Enhancement ratios of VX2 carcinoma are significantly higher at 1 min but significantly lower at 20-30 min after the injection as compared with those of bacterial abscess (p < 0.05). Error bars represent one standard deviation. Open triangles represent bacterial abscess. Solid rectangles represent VX2 carcinoma.
