Fig. 1C. 4-month-old female New Zealand white rabbit. Dynamic
contrast-enhanced fast spin-echo MR images (450/16 [TR/TE]) show bacterial
abscess (left side, open arrow) and VX2 carcinoma (right side,
solid arrow) in rabbit thigh. Images were obtained before (A)
and 1 min (B), 5 min (C), and 30 min (D) after injection
of Gadomer-17 (Schering, Berlin, Germany). Rim enhancement of lesion is
initially weak, but gradual increase of enhancement is seen in both bacterial
abscess and VX2 carcinoma.
