CT scan shows abnormal paravertebral soft tissues (arrow) elevating descending aorta away from adjacent vertebral body and causing appearance seen on radiography. Aortogram (not shown) showed normal findings. Abnormal soft tissue was presumed to be hematoma related to venous bleeding.
