Dear Dr. Mansfield:
Dr. B. G. Brogdon of Mobile, AL, has brought to our attention that in preparing our article [1], we overlooked a previous publication by James M. Crotty and Dr. Brogdon [2] on the very same subject. I am certain this was not done intentionally. How could we have done such a thing? Is there a good explanation for this oversight?

Thank you for bringing to my attention the fact that we overlooked Drs. Brogdon and Crotty's article [1] in the preparation of our article [2] on the same topic.
In preparing our manuscript, we performed a literature search on PubMed, a search engine for the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database. Our literature search did not yield Drs. Brogdon and Crotty's article because the journal in which it was published, Emergency Radiology, is not among those accessed by the search engine.
We regret that we were not aware of Drs. Brogdon and Crotty's article. However, we are pleased to learn that they reported radiographic findings similar to those seen in our cases.
We recommend their informative article to the readers of AJR.
