Axial T1-weighted MR image (TR/TE, 500/8) obtained through lower neck reveals nodule (arrow) just caudal to right lobe of thyroid gland that is slightly hypointense relative to skeletal muscle. Location and appearance are typical of parathyroid adenoma.
