Fig. 3D. 15-year-old girl without asthma (group C). Subject underwent
high-resolution CT (HRCT) for investigation of pneumothorax. HRCT scans
obtained at three predefined levels and corresponding schematic diagrams show
sections of bronchi (arrow, B). One section of bronchial wall
thickening was detected at first level (A), six sections were seen at
second level (C), and one section was depicted at third level
(E). Therefore, bronchial wall thickening score for this patient was 8
(1 + 6 + 1 = 8).
