Poem |
1 Department of Radiology, Moss Regional Medical Center, 1000 Walters St., Lake Charles, LA 70607.
Received June 3, 2002; accepted after revision June 19, 2002.
Address correspondence to M. M. Allego.
your life with extreme caution, compassion
Whether I delved deepest, dedicated
to find pleomorphic calcium with passion.
Prior benign ditzels metamorphose
into circumscribed neoplasms. No surprise,
your mother and sister too succumbed, whose
biopsy reports yours seems to arise.
It matters to visit me annually.
I will hold keen magnifying lens over
your lactiferous ducts continually,
search for spiculated clues forever.
Confront me as I needle-localize
you. Stillness, solace we then realize.
